In the design of lighting fixtures, in addition to exploring new possibilities from the perspective of their functional use, 

it is more important to find answers based on the experience they provide during use. I remember three years ago, 

before designing the MAN&WOMAN desk lamp, I saw the irregular wood grain of the logs being pulled out by the car. 

It was so beautiful that I unconsciously used my camera to capture these wood grains. I was thinking that it would definitely be better under light. 

Later, I found the simplest way to stand upright. The line design of the wooden lamp post is actually set to showcase the most beautiful wood grain.

Later on, this lamp spread wildly on the internet because many people gave comments after purchasing it,

which was the same as my mood when I saw this beautiful wood grain at that time. 

Design is sometimes about designers conveying their experiences and feelings to users through the product as a medium.

The design of lighting fixtures is similar to other product designs in many ways, and it definitely originates from daily life. In recent years, 

I have seen many lighting designs go astray. Many lighting designs are only designed to pursue formal differences, 

which may be related to the impatience of the entire design industry. The original intention of product design is people-oriented, 

and the same goes for lighting design. When the starting point of lighting design deviates from "people-oriented",

 lighting design also begins to become unhealthy. By the way, two years ago when I needed to design a floor lamp, 

I also thought about how to change the appearance to design a floor lamp, but I couldn't find a solid reason to keep doing it. 

I also use floor lamps in my own home, placed next to the sofa. There is no coffee table in front of my sofa at home, 

so every time I drink water, I have to get up and go to a distant table to get a cup, remote control, etc. 

It's inconvenient, but I'm used to it. At that moment, the first thing that came to my mind was whether the floor lamp could have a side table or coffee table function? 

Later, considering factors such as the fact that the floor lamp can be disassembled and easily transported, minimizing its size, etc., the plan for this floor lamp was developed.

With the development of technology, lighting fixtures will become increasingly intelligent and scientific. 

In the near future, intelligent control systems for lighting fixtures will come to us ordinary people,

but no matter how technology develops, lighting design will always be inseparable from the experience of "lighting for people's feelings and usage".
