The first reaction came from friends and students around me. They all know that Zhang Fei, who is still teaching industrial design at Zhejiang University of Technology, 

is developing an industrial electronic device for medical use. This equipment utilizes the mechanical principles of industrial design and the numerical control principles 

of program control to transform the infusion status that originally required manual detection into a device that can be monitored by a computer. 

Nurses can monitor the patient's infusion status through the monitoring screen and rush to remove the needle before the medication is almost finished. 

At present, this equipment has obtained multiple national patents and has been piloted and promoted in several provincial and municipal hospitals. 

One day, this designer who originally pursued industrial design and research suddenly switched to wooden products, making household lighting fixtures, 

and even using the most popular origami shapes of the time to create various table lamps with beautiful curves. This surprised Zhang Fei's friends very much, 

and many of them even went to his studio to have a look. The result of the visit is that most of the first batch of finished lighting fixtures are now housed in the homes of family and friends.

Another wave of surprises came from the internet. In the "Description" of the Wood Series Desk Lamp, Zhang Fei wrote, "You have chosen the Wood Series Desk Lamp, 

and I believe you must be someone who loves nature and enjoys being close to it." Indeed, the original design beauty has attracted netizens from Beijing, Jiangxi, Shanghai, 

and other regions. Even Zhang Fei himself did not expect so many people to come and inquire about the lighting fixtures because of this "original design" Weibo. 

Even some netizens from Anji asked him, 'When can I come to Anji? Can you help us design our works?' 

Through Weibo, he also met many professional designers engaged in wooden products and design.

Zhang Fei shared his experience as a case study of industrial design with his students, saying, "We can't always boast about how good industrial design is. 

Many graduates of industrial design majors switch careers to other industries during graduation season. In fact, as long as they find a suitable fit,

this industry has unlimited future. Moreover, in Zhejiang, as long as designers have a good idea, it will be easy to find a factory for OEM processing." 

This originally "game like" light changed Zhang Fei's design path. Many new friends have come to ask him, "When will the next work be released?" 

Recently, he posted his project plan on the Chinese version of Kickstarter, the "Naming Time" website that helps original design fundraising dreams come true. 

He plans to focus on developing design products in three materials: wood, bamboo, and ceramics over the next three years, "creating a kingdom of bamboo and wood.
